The History of Habitat

We are proud to be a partner in this organization.

Jubilee Habitat for Humanity is our local affiliate branch of the international community.  We joined the Habitat organization in 1992, and to day we have worked with our community in Morgan County to provide 22 brand new homes to deserving families.  With our team of dedicated volunteers we hope to provide affordable, quality and safe house for years to come.

Their vision ensured that homes would be built at no profit and interest would not be charged on the loans.  Building costs would be financed through a revolving fund called "The Fund for Humanity"

Through the work of volunteers, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing.  Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem,

decent housing for all.

Habitat for Humanity is an international nonprofit, enumenical Christian ministry that builds homes for people in need regardless of race, or religion. Habitat was founded in 1976 by Millard and LInda Fuller.

The funds would come from the new homeowners' house payments, no interest loans provided by supporters and money earned by fund raising activities.
